Since my last post where I shared my altered moleskin notebook, I've been going a bit crazy with making little notebooks. I have lots of vintage linens -pillowcases, sheets, napkins, hankies, you name it. I think they have such lovely patterns and colors so why not feature them on a little pocket notebook? I've written up a simple tutorial.
Cut the notebook base out of your folder. You won't be using the top of the folder
You can use plain paper, lined paper, scrapbook paper, graph paper, stationary sheets-
whatever you like
There you have it!
Now you can add trims
or decorate the inside.
I have to give credit to Katherine for the great diy post on Design*Sponge that inspired this project!
Hope you're having a lovely day!
Awww! Great project!
ReplyDeleteYou are so inspiring!! I love this and can't wait to try it!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I think I will try this. I'm not sure when but I think it's something crafty I can do and I'm motivated by the fact that I love journals. Wish me luck.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet idea for old fabrics, and it looks really do-able, too. I've done hand-bound books before, but these would be much quicker with the sewing machine and would make wonderful little gifts - thanks for sharing this tutorial!!!
