And no trip of mine is complete without a mirror shot and a photo of found street art. That amazing blue faced guy is made with layers of tape strips. Fantastic. Where are you headed this weekend?

An afternoon in Memphis
I have to say that I really enjoy Memphis. There are tons of fun things to do -shopping, music, and there are multiple vegetarian and/or vegan restaurants. Mr. K and I finally got a whole day off together so we drove up for a day of fun and good eats. On the way we stopped at a fruit stand and now my kitchen is full of yummy produce just waiting to be turned into pies and other tasty things.

more on the Indie Style Market
As I said in my last post, I met some really awesome ladies at the Indie Style Market. I also wanted to share some photos I took of the flea market itself. As I mentioned before, this flea market catered to those hunting dollar store type bargains rather than vintage or antique (what I think of when I think flea market) I did find a few lovely things.

Campers, trailers, and caravans, oh my!
A while back I told you about my '63 Mobile Scout that needs a bit of a face lift. I've been searching out fabrics and pondering color schemes. I promised to share some of my inspiration so here it is!
I love these cheery colors together. This lovely camper is a mobile cupcakery -fantastic! You can even rent it for weddings. How sweet is that?
The vintage feel in this one is great - I adore the red polka dots and floral patterns they used. This camper is named 'Constance.'
A lovely beachy vibe, nice and relaxing. For Leanne Cully fabrics.
Bold color! This is part of the rooftop (?!) airstream section of the Granddaddy hotel in South Africa.
Simple with subdued color.
This looks a lot like Scout now, with the teal and light wood. How fun are those colorful curtains?
I'm dying over this one. LUSH.
I know I've got an eclectic mix of images here -my tastes vary so wildly it's no wonder why I can't decide what direction what design direction to go in. For the moment, I suppose I'll keep looking and dreaming.
Lots of these images found via I Love Trailers who runs Haberdash Vintage - a vintage shop out of her vintage camper.
More link love: Check out Wandering Airstream for adventures on the road.
Hope you're all having a lovely day full of adventures!

Colors: Green
It seems that winter is still hanging on a little bit in my part of the world. Perhaps I'm a little impatient. So, here's a few things in green to keep us going.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

| My favorite Seussian character, The Lorax. |
Today is Dr. Seuss' birthday! We had a lovely day at the Clinton Presidential Museum. Out of the group, I'm probably the most enthusiastic Seuss fan. I was very excited for the opening of this exhibit, The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss. The exhibit spans 7 decades of Theodor Seuss Geisel's work.

A Little Nashville Vintage
Just one of several, here's a cheerful Nashville vintage store. Expect to find reasonable prices, the walls decked with Bettie Paige paintings, lots of cowboy boots, and vintage kitsch everywhere. What makes it special? There are still bargains to be had in the world of retail vintage. The displays are also delightful.

Just Visiting
After the snow melted a bit we packed up the car and headed to Nashville for a little visit.
| Headed to Nashville |
It's funny how when you live in a place you miss a lot of the little gems because of school, work, and well, life. A weekend trip let's me fill in all the gaps and remind me of why I do love Nashville
Just a few miles out from the city is Brentwood. It's definitely worth visiting. We had brunch at The Perch, a fantastic little crepes place. The staff was so cheerful and you felt right at home in the bright cafe with beam ceilings and woodsy chic decor.
I had a hankering for a Masala Chai and my dad tried the Orange Creamsicle Latte', both were delicious. The menus had so many different and interesting combinations I guess I should have been a bit more adventurous! But, one sip of that chai and I don't regret it, not one bit. I ordered the Green Apple and Brie crepe.
While we sipped our hot drinks we read the paper and relaxed. The Perch really has a laid back and friendly atmosphere. Our food came out very quickly and was served on scalloped paper plates. The presentation was pretty but, not pretentious.
As for the crepes, well it's best I don't live here or I'd stop by everyday as it appeared that many do. A lot of regulars came in for a cup of coffee or to chat.

Once our bellies were full of deliciousness we headed our to Bliss Yarns. Oh, joy. Oh, rapture.
